Club Championships 2017

The annual Carraig TC Club Championships will be held from Fri 25th Aug – Sat 9th Sept. All members are encouraged to take part. You can choose to enter a maximum of two events:
- Ladies’/men’s singles
- Ladies’/ men’s doubles
- Mixed doubles
There is an entry fee of 5 euro per event – please pay to a committee member. The finals will be held on Sat 9th Sept and (weather permitting) will be followed by a BBQ.
Rules:
- The championship will run Fri 25th Aug – Sat 9h Sept 2017
- Entries to be made online via www.tournamentsoftware.com
- Entry Fees: €5 per player per event – payable to a championship committee member
- Players may enter a maximum of 2 events
- All players must ensure they are available to participate for the duration of the championship
- Handicapping, scheduling of matches and administration will be at the sole discretion of the championship committee.
- Walkovers will be awarded by the championship committee in Week 2 where players are not available to play their matches
- All matches to be the best of 3 sets
- Players may nominate their partner in doubles events or, where they do not have a partner, the committee will allocate one if possible.
- The winner(s) of a match must notify the designated contact of the result within 4 hours of the end of the match
- A plate event will be run for the first round losers in the men’s and women’s singles.
- In Week 1, it is the responsibility of each player to organise to play their match by the deadline given. In Week 2, the committee will allocate playing times – these must be adhered to.
- Players will supply their own tennis balls
- Entrants should be 14 years of age on January 1st 2016
- Players failing to report for their match will be liable to be eliminated.
