2015 Rockies Internal League
This fun competition will run from November 2015 to the end of March 2016. It is open to all members over the age of 14.
Round one will be from 16th November to 19th December 2015. We’ll then take a break for Christmas and round 2 will start straightaway from Stephens’ Day till the end of January. Please try to play everybody in your box in the time allotted.
The Basics:
Singles – BEST OF 13 full tennis games (the 13th game a tiebreaker)
Doubles – BEST OF 15 full tennis games (the 15th game a tiebreaker)
All matches arranged by individuals themselves. Contact details available on the website.
How to score:
ONLY THE WINNERS should send scores to David Gallagher via email david.gallagher@xlcatlin.com at the end of the game – PLEASE PLEASE PUT “CARRAIG” in the subject line of the email (it’ll save a huge amount of time & hassle). Please send both the winners and runners up final score. Scores will be updated regularly on the club website.
Bonus point – If you play all of your matches in your box you will be awarded a further 2 points.
Zero point penalty – if you do not play any of your matches you will be eliminated from the next round.
Relegation and promotion between boxes will happen at the end of each 4/5 week period, based solely on points scored. Prizes at the end of each Round.
Walkover – a walkover will be awarded if:
- An opponent is injured and cannot play you.
- An opponent offers you a walkover for another reason.
- When, despite at least 3 attempts to arrange a game over a 2 week period, your opponent won’t play you.
NB. Points for a walkover will be awarded by the organisers based on the average scores for that box. Walkovers are considered as games played.
