Carraig Tennis Club (the “Club”, “we“, “us” and “our“) wishes to take this opportunity to explain how the Club will collect and use personal information provided by you (the member) to the Club from time to time.
For the purposes of this notice, the controller of your personal information is Carraig Tennis Club, Rockfield Park, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.
Information You Provide
The Club may collect and process the following personal information about you which it may obtain either directly from you (including on your membership application forms or competition forms) or through a parent or guardian acting on your behalf:
- PERSONAL: such as your name, gender and date of birth, address, contact details and details of your emergency contact.
- TENNIS PLAYER: such as your international tennis number, your National Player Database PIN and your Tennis Ireland results history;
- FINANCIAL: such as financial information related to payment of membership fee;
Where you have provided information about another person (e.g. a minor), you confirm that they have appointed you to act for them or that you are legally entitled to act for them, to consent to the processing of their personal information, and to receive, on their behalf, any data protection notices from the Club or Tennis Ireland.
How and Why We Use Your Personal Information
The table below details the legal basis and purposes for which the Club will process your personal information:

Sharing and Disclosure of your Personal Information
Your data may be recorded by the Club electronically, kept and processed on computer or in manual form. We may disclose some or all of the personal information we collect from and obtain about you to the following third parties:
– tennis professionals and coaches operating at the Club;
– Club service providers; and
– Tennis Ireland, the sport’s national Governing Body. Your information is disclosed to Tennis Ireland in order to facilitate the operation of the National Player Database (the “NPD“) and the national ranking and grading system for tennis players. Transfer of Your Personal Information
The personal information that the Club collects from you is stored inside the European Economic Area (“EEA“). We do not transfer your personal information outside the EEA.
Retention of Your Personal Information
In general, we expect to keep your personal information for the duration of your membership with the Club and for a reasonable period after you cancel your membership. Once we have determined that we no longer need to hold on to your personal information, we will delete it from our systems.
Please note that in certain circumstances we may hold your personal information for a longer period, for example, if we are processing an ongoing claim or believe in good faith that the law or a relevant regulator may reasonably in our view expect or require us to preserve your personal information.
Your Rights
You have a number of rights in relation to your personal information which are set out in the table below. Note that in certain circumstances these rights are not absolute. You can exercise any of these rights by submitting a request to the Secretary of the Club at carraigtcinfo@gmail.com.

If you validly exercise this right, we will only store your personal information and will not carry out any other processing until the issue is resolved. |

We will provide you with information on any action taken upon your request in relation to any of these rights without undue delay and at the latest within one month of receiving your request. We may extend this up to two months if necessary, however we will inform you if this arises.
